On Friday, October 16, 2026, at 4:30 PM, Mines Nancy and InSIC will honor the graduates of the Mechanical Engineering program, Design Engineering track (IC) — offered in partnership with ITII Lorraine — as well as graduates of the Université de Lorraine’s Master in Design, Product Design track, at the Espace Georges Sadoul in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.
After several years of coursework, projects, and hands-on experience in industry, this ceremony marks a symbolic milestone for the young graduates of the School’s Vosges campus, who now become full members of the Mines Nancy Alumni community.

This ceremony will also honor Mickaël Grivel, Chief Executive Officer of Alfa Laval, who is sponsoring the combined Design Engineering and Product Design Master’s graduating classes for this event.
Through his leadership of a leading industrial group in fluid handling, heat transfer, and mechanical separation technologies, Mickaël Grivel embodies the career paths opened up by design engineering and product design education. His involvement with the graduates strengthens the connection between the School and the industrial world, as he shares his experience and perspective on how the engineering and design professions are evolving.

Two Programs, One Shared Ambition: Combining Technical Design and Creativity
GIP InSIC, the Mines Nancy campus in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, trains engineers and designers within a shared design culture, at the crossroads of technical expertise and creativity.
- The Mechanical Engineering program, Design Engineering track (IC), offered in partnership with ITII Lorraine, trains — through apprenticeship or as full-time students — engineers capable of designing innovative mechanical products, from initial specifications through to industrialization.
- The Université de Lorraine’s Master in Design, Product Design track, run by Mines Nancy, trains engineer-designers able to lead a product design project across all its dimensions: usability, form, technical feasibility, and industrialization.
Through their graduation, these young professionals will officially join the Mines Nancy Alumni community, which now numbers several thousand engineers and designers trained since the School’s founding.
