HERawS Summer School on Critical Raw Materials and Sustainable Mining

  • Date: June 30 – July 4, 2025
  • Location: Josef Stefan Institute, Slovenia
  • Who should participate: Master’s and PhD students in STEM, political sciences, social sciences, and related fields

The summer school will provide an in-depth exploration of critical raw materials and their role in sustainable technologies. Participants will engage in expert-led lectures, interdisciplinary group work, and field visits to mining sites. The program covers raw material sourcing challenges, circular economy solutions, biological reclamation, and responsible resource management strategies.
