Mines Nancy is now accepting applications for its Industrial Engineering and Materials Engineering (GIM) engineering degree for the upcoming academic year.
This engineering program is primarily designed for students holding a University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) who wish to develop a dual expertise in industrial engineering and materials science, addressing today’s major industrial, technological and environmental challenges.
An engineering degree focused on industry and materials
The Industrial Engineering and Materials Engineering (GIM) program trains engineers who are able to:
- design, optimize and manage complex industrial systems,
- master materials, their processing methods and applications,
- integrate industrial performance, quality, cost control and sustainability requirements,
- support companies in their technological and socio-ecological transitions.
Graduates pursue careers in a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing industry, energy, transportation, advanced materials, consulting, supply chain management and industrial innovation.
Admission requirements
Admission to the first year of the engineering program is based on academic qualifications and an interview. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold (or be in the process of obtaining during the academic year) a University Bachelor of Technology (BUT – 3rd year) or a Bachelor in Science and Engineering (BSI),
- Be enrolled in BUT2 or hold a former University Diploma of Technology (DUT),
- Have completed an ATS preparatory program (Adaptation Technicien Supérieur) for BTS or BUT graduates,
- Come from CPGE preparatory classes, integrated scientific or technological preparatory programs, or CUPGE,
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Licence) from a general academic program (L3) or a professional bachelor’s degree.
