The 6th edition of Cyber Humanum Est, one of the largest university-level cyber-warfare exercises in France, will take place from February 2 to 6, 2026. Organized by the Nancy Defense Base and Lorraine INP, under the authority of the Cyber Defense Command (COMCYBER) of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and the University of Lorraine, the event will once again bring together around one hundred students from programs specializing in cybersecurity, cyber defense, and digital systems.

A Major Mobilization for a Unique Exercise in France

Supported by the association RACYN, Cyber Humanum Est will bring together more than 90 supervisors—military personnel, reservists, faculty members, and experts from both the public and private sectors—all involved in designing realistic cyberattack and digital defense scenarios.

More than 100 students from leading cybersecurity programs and one Canadian partner university will take part in the 2026 edition:

  • Mines Nancy
  • Telecom Nancy
  • Polytech Nancy
  • IUT Nancy-Brabois – R&T Department
  • Faculty of Science and Technology – Master SIRAV
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences – Master VSOC
  • Faculty of Science and Engineering – Master SIS
  • Université de Sherbrooke (Canada)

An Immersive Scenario to Strengthen Cyber Skills

The 2026 edition will take place at TELECOM Nancy and the Sports Science Faculty gymnasium. Over three days of intensive exercise, students will be immersed in highly realistic cyber-defense situations involving:

  • advanced vulnerability exploitation,
  • offensive cyber operations,
  • cyber-defense missions and the protection of critical infrastructures,
  • information warfare and influence-based scenarios.

The goal: to train future experts capable of responding to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats targeting companies, institutions, and public organizations.
