On Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Forum Est-Horizon brings students and exhibitors together at the Centre Prouvé in Nancy, just 100 meters from the train station. Organized since 1984 by the student association of the École des Mines de Nancy (Mines Nancy), this free career fair offers meetings with employers, four workshops to prepare your internship or job search, and a student project competition.

A Day to Meet Companies and Ask Your Questions

The Forum Est-Horizon is one of the largest student-employer networking events in the Grand Est region. It is open free of charge to students from all programs, and admission is free for all visitors. Over the course of a day, you can discover a wide range of industries looking for talent (internships, recruitment, work-study programs, and more) and ask recruiters your questions directly.

Four Workshops to Prepare for Your Conversations

In addition to meeting exhibitors, four workshops are offered on site:

  • CV review: show your CV to a professional and get feedback on its readability, its content, and how you describe your experience.
  • Mock interview: practice with a professional, then discuss your answers and how you present your background.
  • Professional portrait: a free photo session run by the Mines Nancy Photo Club, to get a picture you can use on your CV or online profile.
  • Color CV printing: print your CV in color on site and leave with copies ready to hand to exhibitors.

These activities are organized with Intermines, Mines Nancy Alumni, APEC, and Elles bougent.

A Student Project Competition

The competition is open to students, who pitch their project to a jury, answer its questions, and gather feedback from outside experts. Two categories are available:

  • Emerging project: a recent idea whose main elements are still to be defined (indicative prize: €500).
  • Advanced project: a project that already has concrete elements, an experiment, or a first development effort (indicative prize: €1,000).

Applications are submitted online by creating a candidate account on the Forum’s website. The competition rules and registration procedure are available for download.

A Forum Run by Mines Nancy Students
